My name is Allie and I am part of the SLJ team that is reading your blog over the summer. You have done a great job with this activity. Both of these ladies were just solo pilots. It is sad that Amelia Earhart went missing and that they never found her. Another thing that they would share in common would be their bravery. It would have been a very scary thing flying solo back then. The planes were a little different than now. Imagine flying without a radar for navigation like they do now.
